My lender keeps throwing up road blocks in my refinance. What can I do?

So I have been trying to refi my house to build a garage. I owe 50k and they said they'll lend 80 percent of the appraised value. First appraisal came in at 85k. Giving me a little less than I wanted but I could swing it. The underwriter kept trying to get the appraiser to knock the appraisal down but they wouldn't so the underwriter ordered a new appraisal. That one came back at 85k and the underwriter said now they'll only loan up to 75 percent of the appraisal or I can get a non-fixed heloc loan for the garage. The whole point was to get one loan at a low fixed rate. Now rates are going back up and the whole summer is almost gone. So if I go to another lender and it takes 30-45 days to close (going on 60 with this bank) that puts me mid August for building it and puts a crunch on time frame. I just want to know if this is legal? If I would have been told ANY of this could happen I would have just went back to Wells Fargo whom seems to still like to finance people with 800 mid scores and 28 percent debt to income. So what can I do and is this legal? And can they stick me with there useless appraisals?

I've often heard it said that if God did not exist, life would be without meaning or purpose. What I want to know is how a god can give inherent meaning to anything. I can understand giving purpose to something in the sense that the inventor of a tool had a specific purpose for it in mind when he made it. Low volume in Windows 7 as compared to xp?

I recently installed windows 7 in my d drive. I have two windows one in c drive & one in d (Multi bootable) .I found that windows 7 has marginally low volume as compared to xp.Is there any way to increase it by cross checking the same song in win xp..Do i need to update my sound drivers or its the inherent problem in windows 7.I found 1 way on internet.It was like right click speaker option & then click on playback devices etc. etc. etc. It didn't work with me.So don't give me this method as an answer :(

Question about association and parking.?

I own a townhouse and I have association. Due to the lost of my job a year ago, I couldnt pay my mortgage and assoc fees. Right now I'm dealing with my bank doing a modification so i'm still leaving in my townhouse. I owed money to the association, and I'm wating for my modification approval to see what can I do to pay my assoc balance due which is around $4000. Today, I just received a letter from the assoc company telling all the owners that on July 31 all the cars must have a sticker. And they send a form asking for car info, driver license and registration copies but also it says that all the owners that have a balance due will not received the parking sticker and cars will be towed. Is this legal? I mean when I bought my house I paid for the parking too because I have 2 private parking space in front of my house. It is a townhouse no a condominium. So It is ridiculous that I need a parking sticker to park my car in front of my house. Can they towed my car anyway if dont have that sticker because I owed them money? Thanks!

My daughters friends mom and dad i think are abusive but others say its discipline. This friend is a 12 year old girl who we must admit is a bit sassy. She really rebellious but that does not surprise me as many children are. Her mom just yells at her for crying and and makes fun of her for crying because her and a friend had a rubber band snapping war and she had welts from the rubber band but, the mom hit her in the welts so it hurt obviously. I keep getting these notices from companies telling my I've overpaid my real estate taxes, and they'll recover them for me provided I sign an agreement stating they get to keep half of the refund. But I keep getting these letters from private companies that say I do, and they'll get it for me if I sign the 50-50 agreement. Hello, so I recently (almost 2 months in July 9) got a job at a toy company. I was hired as a Day Porter at this toy company. But I was hired by a facility services company, not the toy company. I was never asked to fill out an application, nothing. They didn't even know y name, phone number, address, NOTHING. They hired me, gave me a job. I accepted because it was my cousins wife's job, so I thought it would be safe. When it came time to pay me (Monthly btw) I was told by the "manager" that I wouldn't be payed until the 26th of June. (I started working may 9 2011) and I was expecting them to pay me May 9 2011- June 26th. That's what the guy told me. When he payed me (gave me a personal check that was labeled House Cleaning Services) I was ONLY payed for the month of may. Turns out they were going to pay me a month behind. meaning they'd owe me a month every month. I didn't like that so I complained and they accused and threatened me. they said "We know you're an illegal immigrant." They insulted me, told me that I was going to fix everything (since I complained to the toy company, I didn't think it was fair that that's toy company was paying the facility service company to hire employees and pay them). Turns out EVERY janitor/day porter is an illegal immigrant. Not me. Even the manager guy who gives out these personal checks. The facility service company contacted me and told me to fix this and basically apologize. They said they knew I was illegal (im not btw wtf) and that I wouldn't want to get involved with homeland security and ice. My question is, is this legal? supposedly the facility company hired sub contractors. Is it legal to know your employees are illegal and still pay them? HELP!

Help with my car insurance costs!?

As of January of this year, I was laid off of work, and haven't found work since, constantly applying and everything. I finally found a job, though seasonal, but pays very good, and is 40 hours a week. My car insurance has been on hold since I got laid off, and even though when I put a hold on it, I owed 400 out of the 1200 my insurance costs, now that I want to take the hold off, they want another 1000, and another 1000 in December. There is just no way I can afford this and college at the same time! I can't find a ride, and the nearest bus stop is over 5 miles away. Any advice on lowering the cost of this? Need help with my monthly IRS tax debt payments!?

2 input to 1 output Optical MIXER (not switcher)?

I have a PS3 connected to a Tritton AX Pro headset through optical. I would like to be able to mix in my laptop's optical signal with the PS3's though, and the headset only has one input. I have been looking around but I can't seem to find an adapter or anything that would MIX two signals into one. I do NOT want a switcher (of which there seems to be an abundance), but instead something that will simultaneously mix my laptop's signal with my PS3's signal. Not too long ago, I had died my hair reddish. If you look up Allison from American idol, my hair is like that, only not as bright. Since I had only died my hair two days ago, I don't have roots. So the thing is, I know his name and where he lives (long story) but I've never met him. He isn't even aware of my existence. My mom got pregnant in high school and never told him. you can't do everything at once. trust me, i'm one of those psycho swimmers who does 9 practices a week. i also was doing community service, piano, trying to maintain honor roll, and was in the process for an rotc scholarship. and i had a part time job and tutored kids 3 times a week for 2hrs each day. it gets to be a lot after awhile. i had no life in high school and got about 5 hrs sleep max every night. it was miserable and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even though it had somewhat of a payoff later. but dont try to do it all at once. it can be pretty awful. i got sick a lot with stress and sleep deprivation. we're not meant to operate like that. you're not a quitter, you're just smarter than i was.

Me and my husband just got married and I had to use my credit card a little towards the end of the wedding planning. I've owned Akitas for years now and what you're seeing can by typical. The Akita breed just sometimes is a little more extreme in things like this than some breeds (I say that with all due respect to lovers of the breed-I'm crazy about them myself). First, you've only had him a short time. Akitas IMO should be the number one breed requiring owners/dogs to go into obedience classes together. Second, you need to get him a lot of exercise to help drain some of his excess energy. A lot of this may simply be just nervous energy from his new situation. It'll be helpful if you get him on a very strict daily routine of when to get up, go out, exercise, nap, eat, etc. In a few weeks time if you're diligent here he'll start to get used to the routine in the house. Third, Akitas like to test and push their owners until they view them truly as the alpha in the relationship. Again, obedience, exercise, correction, direction, fun, trust, respect, training, play time, etc. will slowly clear this up. This is one of the toughest concepts for owners to truly master. A good trainer, good resources (message boards with trainers, breeders, enthusiasts, etc. happy to answer all your questions and give you good tips, links, ideas), lots of follow-up and your ability to stick to being the alpha (not just when you FEEL like it) will be the key here. Direct TV stole my money! Who can I contact?

We were late on Direct TV and they decided to take money out of every account we ever used without our authorization, and bounced 2 checks in the process. I put in a dispute with the bank, and they credited the account back temporarily. Then I called Direct TV, they confirmed the charges were reversed, and I paid the account in full, including the money they took out without our permission. Then a week later they charged the same account again, which again resulted in an overdraft fee and another charge. I DIDN'T OWE THEM ANY MONEY! Now they refuse to credit my account back the $35 until I show them my bank statements (which means give them my account numbers so they can take money again?). One lady (a supposed supervisor) told me we have a balance due next week, so they can take it if they want to! Anyone know of who I could contact for this (government agency, etc.)? I already tried the bank and they pretty much told me since we have an active account and it isn't free, they can take as much money as they want. Something really isn't right here. I already know the BBB, but their rating is already a D with thousands of unresolved complaints. Any other ideas? By the way, it is not the $35 I am fighting about. It is about the $160+ in fees I had as a result of what they did.

I don't know if it's because I'm a woman, I don't know if it's because of the cultural differences, but someone please answer this one for me. My "fiance" has really been pissing me off. For example, he is mexican, i am american. I have a license, him and his buddies and his mother do NOT. So I had a full time job, ok pay, he asks me to leave my job so I can taxi around his family and friends, with this promise that I can make alot of money and help them out at the same time. At first I was very skeptical, but I said okay due to the fact that I could relax and home and cook and clean more and have more free time. Plus that would mean he would be taking care of everything financially. I finally agreed(because at first I told him no, he begged). The reason why he wanted this was because they're passing this stupid immigration law and he's worried for his friends and family, and the agreement was that they'd be paying me. But as you can imagine, things got tight with the money income change. Ok, I was okay with that, you make sacrifices for the ones you love, got it. BUT THEN his freakin mother hasn't even paid "on her own" till this day! I drive a gas gussling car, I'm not even making a profit here. I drive his mother and her two friends to work every day. About ten miles to get there at FREAKIN 7 am in the damn morning and then I pick them up at 4pm in the afternoon. Thats twenty miles. Then on top of that she asked me to take her son to school and then pick him up in the afternoon too, another 5 miles. Then I have to take my fiance to his friends house everyday at 5am as well so that they can drive to work (he works an hour away). The friend lives about 15 miles away. As you can imagine, making all these trips and BACK every damn day in a car that isn't great with gas isn't good for the gas tank, especially with this ridiculously rising gas prices, and this is on the daily! I supposedly get paid every WEEK! My problem is the mother doesn't pay and everyday I'm stressin out because we don't have gas in the damn car and I can't do wtf I need to do because I'm so busy over extending myself and bending over backwards for these people, WHEN SHE AINT PAYIN. My fiance has to go ask for money, he calls it "borrowing" and im like dude she owes us more than, go ask her for the money that she owes for me taking her to work, and taking her son to school! His response goes a little something like this, "I don't want to ask her for money, besides, that was YOUR GUYS'S deal, not mine, you go ask her for the money." And her refused to do it. Yes, there is an inherent prejudice. Granddad was right, though I don't know if I would say it's quite ten times. The longer you've been unemployed, the more of an issue it's going to be for an employer. This is going to be a subconscious consideration for even the most generous and open-minded employer even if they don't think it is. When the economy is not doing so well (like now) it's much less of a factor but it would be unrealistic and naive to say that it's not something they'll consider.

Question about association and parking space.?

I own a townhouse and I have association. Due to the lost of my job a year ago, I couldnt pay my mortgage and assoc fees. This is a great question. I struggled with the same thing because I'm the only guy in our family so felt pressure to 'carry on the family name.' I don't see it as selfish. Instead it's a sign of maturity and knowing what you want. If you did give in to the pressure and get married and have children you didn't really want, the children would know this. I've seen lots of situations where people have had children because that's what they felt they were 'supposed' to do. Now they resent them and don't care for them. my parents sent me to college. it was a dream of mine to become a Athletic Trainer. i was going to graduate, start life, and be happy. my parents were so sheltered about informing me on anything that i went to college , one- without being told about college financial aid process. two- i had no clue about credit and debt. three- when i wasnt allowed to come back to school because i owed money, i was shocked and confused because parents planted a rainbow and great world in my head that it would be ok. can my parents be held liable for not informing me? i was 18 but when your 18 and didnt know anything i feel hurt and left out. most kids turn 18 and know about credit cards, loans, life, adult stuff. i wasnt told about anything. im now 24 with 11,000 in school loan debt. no degree and working a EMS job that doesnt pay ****. i want compensation.

To invest with the intention of losing money doesn't make sense to a conservative. Now that we have established the purpose for cash in business and industry let's talk about how taxes work with it. The personal income tax isn't the primary concern of investors. They watch the capital gains tax. In order for an investor to break even today his investment has to pay a 15% dividend. That is to cover the 15% capital gains tax. When Obama was campaigning he promised to raise the capital gains tax to as much as 28%. People who had held stocks long term for good gain sold off. That is when the market crashed. That tighten up investor money. After they put their money from the big gain in the bank they bought back their same stock for less money they won't sell now for a long time. You only pay taxes when you trade for a profit. They don't need any profit so the are not buying. More investment will happen when there is a better more business friendly government or administration in place. Keeping the taxes down causes more people to be profitable investors because the tax doesn't eat up the profit.

I have been receiving disability benefits since january 2011 due to my pregnancy and I will stop receiving them in about august. My question is when I file taxes at the end of the year am I going to owe back? Also I have 2 children which I plan on claiming at the end of the year, I only receive $600 a month, my boyfriend receives unemployment benefits also, he receives $1600 a month, would it be better for him to claim the kids or for myself to do so?

Hey im luis, My mother passed away September 30th 2010 from bone cancer, i have three sister no brothers, one of my sister died at like 9 months pregnant, my other sister is handi-cap and my other sister is 24. My dad isnt exactly the nicest person..he drinks alot and expects me to do everything with my handicap sister change diaper and feed her (spoon feed her)..she is 15..while i'm 14...While my mother was crying herself to sleep because of the pain of bone cancer my dad was out drinkin and when he comes home i ask him to get diapers for my mother and he says he has no money for diapers but yet he buys more beer..that's what really ticked me off...i asked for his credit card to buy an online game..i kept the info on his card saved it in notepad and everytime he would get me very mad for not caring about my mother not able to walk or even talk due to the pain of the cancer...i spent money on his credit card..so i used his credit card all of November-April...and it racks up the total of $2500 on pure games..that i dont even play..i just had it there so that the money that he didn't spend on my mother, i spent on games. i'm so depressed about my mother..and now just realising that i owe my dad $2500...and now he physically abuses me when he drinks..and gets drunk..i take care of my handicap sister all by myself...he found a new wife...that smokes and drinks..my 24 year old sister can't afford a big house so child support can take us...i need some serious help...i havn't attempted suicide...but i fear that it may come soon...i miss my mom..

So the thing is, I know his name and where he lives (long story) but I've never met him. He isn't even aware of my existence. My mom got pregnant in high school and never told him. I just found out about him about 5 years ago. Me and my mom had a lot of issues after this all came out, so my life consisted of basically fighting with her all the time, but now that our relationship is moving in the right direction she's saying maybe it would be a good idea to just meet him. Im thinking about becoming a server for a restaurant that pays 2.13/hr plus tips. Do your tips get taxed and how much do they take from you? Is there a way to find out? My sister was a server a couple of years ago and I remember her having to pay $300 back. Is it legal for a friend to charge money to her other friends for making mistakes?

She used to use physical violence, or threat of violence, if we didn't listen to her. Now she charges money if we do things that "take up her time". She had asked for certain behaviors in the past and if we forget to do those behaviors she charges us - $100 a day - and up until now, I have believed that it would help me change. Now I feel awful, because I forgot to do something, she charged me, and it puts my family and my finances at risk to keep paying her (and making the same mistakes). I want this to end! When I have decided to stop in the past, she and all the friends call and call and write emails and say I am wrong, inconsiderate, and that I will be modeling poor behavior to my daughter. I always want to improve myself and have trusted her perceptions in the past, but also done things out of fear. Now I feel its all just totally wrong. What do I do? Car Interest Loan Scam?

Hi my mom has been paying off a car since november 2009 she has paid 538.00 monthly since. Her car cost 20,000 and i recently went online to check to see how much she owes since im the one who pays her bills online and it says she owes 17,000 dollars. I was of course taken aback . I immedietly called honda financial services and was told that she had signed a contract with honda and taken out a Interest loan. which basically means all her money has been going to pay Interest not her actual car. Now my mom is an immigrant from Haiti and I am SURE that she didnt know she was signing her own death sentence when she signed this contract. Im sure the people at the dealer took advantage of her and now shes stuck with a 20,000 car that she'll be paying out for years! Any advice? i filled out my W4 form for my employer and i entered 1 for myself, i am married, and 1 for each of my dependents ( i have four dependents). Now, there are no federal taxes being taken out of my check and i want to pay taxes so i will not owe the IRS any money at the end of the year how should i fill out the W4 (should i file married seperately, jointly, or not claim all dependents). i'm thinking i don't have any federal taxes being taken out because i put my status as "married filing jointly" with 4 dependents (maybe too many dependents)....sorry i'm confused about this.

The reason viruses are still an issue is because PCs allow most programs to have access to your source folders, the ones really deep in your C drive that hold all the code for your computer. There's one folder in there that is the "startup" folder, and certain sites and programs could save an extra code into that folder (or another one that opens automatically) and when your computer goes to that folder to get what it needs (the startup folder has everything it needs when it starts up) it'll open up the malicious code aswell, which can literally control the computer.

No, we're all born with the lack of belief (atheist) because we can't even think when we are born, we can't even make sense of the images at that age. Later on children begin to realize that technology was built for a reason by somebody, so they start to think the world was built for a reason by somebody (sometimes with brainwash by parents) as we are naturally curious species. That's why education is very important.
