Who do you believe is more likely to have created racism?

I think it's more of a personal belief thing. I think it was a radical interpretation of Christianity that led our forefathers to enslave the African people. Throughout history it seems that individual religious beliefs have served as a basis for unjust acts (Egypt enslaving the Jews in Biblical times for example). Although religion may have played a part in these unjust acts against certain ethnic groups, we must remember that the religion itself (in its truest sense) was/is not the cause of prejudice, but rather it's the radicals' false interpretations of religion that serve as the basis for prejudice (Osama Bin Laden is a good example. He was not Muslim, in the truest sense of a Muslim, but rather he twisted Islamic beliefs to justify murdering hundreds of thousands of people, especially for organizing an attack against "Christianity/Freedom of Religion" in America.
