No animal problems that you wouldn't find elsewhere. Be bear aware hang your food up and or use a bear proof canister. Solo camping in of itself is more risky if something happens as like in the film 127 hours your on your own so "be prepared" for the worst and you won't have issues. Some area's of the north coast are havens for hidden pot farms and meth labs, pack a pistol for self defense and leave the area if you see one and report it's location to the US forest service.
