Do we really want to be friends with pakistan?

Um...the vast majority of the Democrats are also saying we should keep the overall status quo in place with Pakistan if you've been listening. There are a significant number of republicans that also DO NOT want to remain 'buddy buddy with Pakistan either. Neither side feels very good about the Pakistanis, but to cut them loose completely would be a dire mistake. Things are never as cut and dried in such situations as you may wish it to be.
